Definition:
To tilt the operating table laterally. The table attached with arm boards resembles an airplane. The request is often accompanied by a pantomime of the surgeon's hand simulating an airplane's roll.
Usage:
Surgeon to anesthesiologist: "Can you airplane the table this way? No, the other way. Alright, now rainbow it away from me.
